March 28 boom shakalakayup the big 24 just hit, one more and it'll be a quarter of a century... that just sounds like a long time, but in all reality it's not been long at all.... much like the past three months has flown by, i can say the same about the past 24 years.... it doesn't really seem like i've been gone for 6 years either, it's life though , just got to live it January 31 This is what it's all aboutDefine Marine..
Marines come in all shapes, shades, weights, sizes, and states of sobriety, misery, and confusion. He is sly as a fox, has the nerve of a dope addict, the stories of an old sailor, the sincerity of a politician, and the subtly of Mt. Saint Helen. He is extremely irresistible, totally irrational and completely indestructible. A Marine is a Marine all his life. He is a magical creature. You can kick him out of your house but not out of your heart. You can take him off your mailing list but not off your mind. Marines are found everywhere... in love...in battle... in lust... in trouble...in debt...in bars and ... behind them. No one can write so seldom and yet think so much of you. No one else can get so much enjoyment out of a letter or clean clothes or a six pack. A Marine is a genius with a deck of cards. A millionaire without a cent and brave without a grain of sense. He is the PROTECTOR OF AMERICA, with the latest copy of playboy in his back pocket. When he wants something it's usually 30 days leave, music that hurts the ears, a five dollar bill...or a woman he can count on. Girls love them, mothers tolerate them, fathers brag about them, the government pays them, the police watch out for them and somehow they all work together. You can beat their bodies but not their minds. You can tame their hearts but not their souls. He likes girls, females, women, ladies, and the opposite sex. He dislikes small checks, working weekends, answering letters, eating chow, waking up, maintaining a uniform, and the day before payday. You may as well give in. He is your long distance lover...he is your steel eyed, warm smiling, blank minded, hyperactive, over reacting, curious, passive, talented spontaneous, physically fit, good for nothing bundle of worry..... He shatters all your dreams and fantasies when he drunkenly crawls into bed with you at 3:00am kisses you for 5 minutes, tells you how much he loves you, checks the clock and falls asleep with his head on your breasts, his hand between your legs......and his mind on both. January 07 starting to slackSo I noticed my last update was back in November, yeah it's been awhile... Nothing new going on over here in Jordan, other than the typical... I've been extended out till December of 06' now so I'll be here a total 1 year and 3 months roughly when it's all said and done. The plan is to pull 30+ at home there in December when I get to rotate out of here. Sis is gonna be home the same time so things should be interesting... November 26 hey ummmm......So's I've come to the distinct conclusion that the next 10 months of my life is going to suck.... and I don't mean like stuck 7 months on a boat floatin through the Pacific and back kind of suck (hell at least, I could chill there).... I'm talkin putting up with a complete idiot who's making you're life a living hell and being driving to the bone kind of suck.... As always though I shall adapt and overcome though, because that's what "teufel heundens" do. RAH!!! November 17 Whatever.....Right so low down, short, sweet, quick, and dirty.... The new boss is an idiot, comes in preachin' I'm not here to change things, ha wish it were true. Nothing is good enough for the man, it's gotta be his way or no way. Damn the man.... (i gots to vent somehow)
Anyways things are descent here, could be worse I suppose. Due to recent events however our ball has been moved to Dec. 9th, and it's gonna be on compound vice out at a hotel also... not a good thing. We really don't have the accomadations for 400+ bodies... It's gonna be interesting to see how it turns out. I'm senior sergeant on deck so that automatically puts me in the color guard carryin the old stars and stripes. First time for everything, I'm usually a rifle bearer.
Cash flow is lookin good already, already been able to take a big bite out of some of my toys I've been payin on... so that's good news. I get another pay raise when I hit my 6 year mark in May. Yeah 6 years, what a trip... I remember being in school and workin at the steakhouse. Ah the good ol' days.... Anyways figured I'd drop a few lines, I'm over due for an update. November 06 G.E.D.That's right, G.E.D. Git Er' Done...
That's what I plan on doing... Gettin Er' Done.... been out here in Jor Dan for a month as of today, got everything pretty well on lock and I'm not having any real complications. I've definitely found out that things arn't what they are made out to be once again..... ya'll know what I'm talking about. Somebody tells ya one thing about how things are but of course they are totally different than that. Sounds like life really, you think things are one way and find out (9 times out of 10) they are another way.
Anyways been crunchin some figures and it looks like I'll be able to save a pretty hefty chunk of change, and pay everything off that I had going on before (i.e. my truck 36,000 left to pay-off; i miss my truck, but it's in good hands; luv you mom and dad)....
I just hope the next 2 posts will be descent as well, i'm tryin to stick to the smaller ones. I don't like the "dog and pony shows" of the larger ones.

The only thing that stays the same, is that everything changes.... October 31 Yup Yup YupRight on, so here it is the end of Oct already and only two months to go before the end of the year.... I've been slated with the task of Colors Sgt (flag bearer, in english) for the ball on the 18th of Nov. shouldn't be too bad, gonna hit up a few practices before then so it'll be alright... Nothing else going on really, been on for the past 6 days and I've got Tues and Weds of so it'll be a descent little break before jumping back into the mix of things... I'll post some pics when I finally get off my lazy butt and get some taken... Anywho's I'm out gonna make some phone calls and see what's going on in the world besides on this side....
